Congregational Library update: December 2025

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here! All credit to Westminster College’s Twitter/X feed for the lovely photo of the College Christmas tree.

Apologies if you are now humming away after reading our opening lines, but we are feeling the Christmas spirit at the Congregational Library. We’ve started an Advent Calendar of interesting books from our collection on Twitter and Instagram: follow us for #AdventCalendar fun all the way up to Christmas, while hopefully learning something interesting about our collections along the way. Some are Christmas related, some are not, but all of them made the librarian and the volunteers smile (or gasp in amazement) when we unpacked them.

Otherwise, have a lovely and peaceful Christmas season, hopefully surrounded by family and friends and full of joy. Please note the library will be closed to visitors and enquiries from 22 December, with the librarian returning to her desk on Tuesday 6 January. We will see you again with further updates in the New Year.
